H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al-Quwain, and H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al- Quwain and Chairman of the Umm Al Quwain Executive Council witnessed the graduation ceremony of the " Year of Tolerance " batch at Emirates Canadian University, which included more than 100 students in various fields.
Sheikh Saud praised the wise leadership of the president His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan , Vice-President , Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, , and H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE's Armed Forces, who make a substantial effort to provide the basic needs required to empower the citizens serve their country, and pay great attention to strategic plans that may develop higher education to keep pace with the latest achievements, prioritizing the individual welfare, and promoting science, knowledge and innovation.

The Ruler of Umm Al Quwain honored the winners of "Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla Award" in its first session, where Mansour Al-Muqdahi got the Outstanding Student Award, which aims to encourage students to maintain excellence, while Dr. Ali Eisa Al Jasmi was honored as the distinguished academic researcher, aiming to improve the scientific excellence level.
The graduation ceremony was attended by, Sheikh Khalid Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Chairman of Amiri Diwan in Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Saif bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Head of Department of Economic Development, Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Ali bin Saud bin Rashid chairman UAQ municipality. Engineer Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalid Al Mualla, head of the Department of Survey and Planning in UAQ, Major General Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmad Al Mualla, Commander-in- chief of Umm Al Quwain Police, in addition to several sheikhs , members of the Board of Trustees of the College, heads and directors of local and federal government departments and universities, and the parents of the graduates.
The graduated batch has the slogan of “The Year of Tolerance" in response to the guidance of His Highness the President of the State that 2019 is the year of tolerance, aiming to establish the UAE as a universal capital of tolerance, affirm the value of tolerance as a sustainable institutional endeavor, and continue the approach of The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God have mercy upon him), the founding father of the United Arab Emirates, who created an inspiring model of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in the UAE.
