“Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Department of Finance, Inaugurates Umm Al Quwain Book Fair, Organized by Emirates Canadian University College”

Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Department of Finance in Umm Al Quwain, inaugurated Umm Al Quwain Book Fair, organized by Emirates Canadian University College, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain. The ceremony was attended by directors of government institutions, intellectuals and academics in Umm Al Quwain.
 
23 local publishing houses and cultural institutions in the UAE, with more than15 thousand titles including cognitive, literary, scientific, and academic and children books, innovation and technical sciences, participated in the exhibition. 
Dr. Galal Hatem, president of Emirates Canadian University College, made a statement appreciating the big support of the UAE wise leadership to cultural sector and sponsorship of various cultural activities and events that contribute to enhancing cultural mobility in the country. 
During the exhibition, Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla honored all the participants in the event.
 
On the sidelines of the book fair, a cultural seminar entitled "Educate for the Emirates" was organized, and moderated by Dr. Wafa Abdul Khaleq Tharwat, Head of Mass Communication at the College hosting Dr. Galal Hatem, ECUC president, discussed the vision of UAE culture.
 
Dr. Suzan Marwan Shaheen, assistant professor and head of scientific research and development, in her session, spoke about developing cultural talents in the field of literature, writing stories, novels and music. The third speaker in the seminar was Dr. Mohammed Noor Rabie Al Ali, a faculty member at Emirates Canadian College, who discussed a topic titled “Reading for the UAE”
 
  UAQ Book Fair included a children's corner aimed at developing their cultural and literary talents. And the first day included signing a book entitled “Life has Moments " by Hazza al-Shehhi. 
 
  UAQ Book Fair runs for two days on two morning and evening periods.
