Emirates Canadian University College in Umm Al Quwain and the American Academy of Research, Studies, Translation and Development in California signed a cooperation agreement for promoting academic exchange and scientific research,and aiming to achieve the two parties’ strategic goals, develop communication mechanisms and share academic experiences.
The event was attenede by His Excellency Humaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the College,and Rami Al-Kaishawi from the Americademy side, in addition to some administration and academic staff of the College.
Dr. Galal Hatem, the head of the college, praised the two parties’ keenness to strengthen the mutual cooperation. He said: "Cooperation between educational institutions enhances scientific and cultural capacities to support academic and educational experiences through joint initiatives beneficial to students and faculty. He added that the agreement is the result of cooperation between the two institutions. It aims to provide research solutions in the strategic fields, in order to achieve the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership in promoting effective partnerships with international institutions of Scientific and academic sectors.
Dr. Hatem stressed that the agreement would consolidate the concepts of knowledge wealth , and realize the vision and mission of the college in order to provide the students with knowledge and prepare graduates able to take the national responsibility towards the future leadship and to move towards knowledge-based economy.
After the signing ceremony, a training course was organized about the fundamentals of "Vocational Etiquette and Protocol", presented by Rami Al-Qishawi, and attended by some employees of the college and other local departments in Umm Al Quwain.
