Dr. Galal Hatem, Director of Emirates Canadian University College, stressed the efforts made by faculty members of the college, highlighting redoubling these efforts in the field of scientific research and community service.
That was during a meeting with the newly joined faculty members, and in the presence of the department heads, the general registrar and some administrative members.
Dr. Hatem said that the obvious academic performance improvement of faculty members is due to several aspects, most notably innovation based knowledge, academic research and community service, which are the main pillars of higher education development.
He added that the college is used to starting each semester with such meetings aiming to at inform the new members about the college’s policies and procedures, in addition to the radical changes of teaching methodologies, in order to cope with the trends of the labor market, where the student is considered as the heart of teaching process, adding scientific research and community service.
Dr. Hatem stressed the importance of linking the theoretical teaching material with the practical application to the enhance guarantee a well understanding of the student, provide him with the practical skills, and develop his analytical ability to keep pace with the changes and educational developments pursued by the State within Vision 2021.
He emphasized training the students to use modern methods while doing a scientific research aiming at enhancing their role to contribute to the scientific thinking and developing their values and attitudes, pointing that the student's self-practice of scientific activities empowers him to interpret the information that helps to obtain research skills Pointing out that students should improve their creativity and innovation.
